07 300 Kick Shaft Seal

Featured Replies

Have an '07 300 and my kick start shaft seal doesn't want to stay in place. It was working it's way out so I replaced it, new seal is doing the same thing. Anyone had this problem? The shaft seems to not have too much play, going to pull the cover tonight as I also have a gasket leak so maybe I'll find something inside.

apparently this does happen on some bikes, get a new seal and fit with silkaflex to stop it coming out.

Turns out I have a cracked cover near one of the mounting bolts so maybe the new cover will hold the seal better. Seems like I am spending more on parts this year than ever.
