July 15, 201016 yr Hi I'm struggling to work out how the return spring fits in relation to the kick start shaft. Anyone offer any advice or even better photos please.
July 15, 201016 yr It's a bit of a fiddle. The hooked end of the spring hooks onto the back side of the kick lever and then you push the straight end into the hole in the case as you place the lever on the splines. The orientation of the lever is important, if you lay it too far forward ie. where the straight part of the spring lines right up with the hole, you'll punch a hole through the case at the bottom of your stroke.
