January 28, 200521 yr does anyone know where i can obtain some 'carbon fibre tape'? i saw a photo of a beta on ebay that had some on the frame between the seat and footpegs, to protect it where the boots rub. looked really smart. tried halfords, no luck. Any ideas?

January 29, 200521 yr Carbon Fibre Tape is used in the Aircraft industry on places like the leading edge of Helicopter Rotors. I expect this would be quite expensive and would not conform to any compund curve. The sheet from bike shops is thick printed vinyl sheet which when heated can be streched etc to follow the curves and I would expect a lot cheaper.
January 29, 200521 yr Ford do sheets of adhesive backed strip that is designed to go across the top of plastic bumpers for use on their estate cars to protect them from loading damage. Not carbon fibre but i suspect has better abrasion resistance than the stuff you get from M&P and the like. A mate of mine is about to try it on his Bultaco so I can't report results, I think it costs about
