I use a water/ washing up liquid mix, it will help the tyre pop on the rim, you may need up to 60 psi to get it to seat properly, watch the bead and make sure it's even round the rim. Also don't pinch the tube, and fit with the arrow in the right direction....
September 28, 201015 yr I run a tube in the rear of my 01 rev 3 and it has a tubeless tyre and rim and I run very low pressures and ride rocks a lot and I have never had a puncture. There also seems to be no disadvantage to running a tube in the rear unless of course you are worried about saving weight
October 6, 201015 yr most of the bikes i have owned ahve had tubeless tyres but have been fitted with tubes for extra security? if you want you can get an uber thick (whale foreskin) enduro tube that you would prob struggle to cut with a stanley knife.. prob not best for competition use but ok for tinkering around on... cheers
