Yes and No, if you are used to big cc 2 Stoker's then maybe!!

The 250 Gssser would be a wise choice if you have never ridden a modern trials bike, but the 300 is NOT a handful so the choice is yours!!! on the other hand the 280 could be a handfull, it all depends on how you ride 'em. :icon_salut:

I would avoid a GasGas that old as they were the early models and had a few issues until the 2005 models. A 300 is okish and as stated the 280 is a beast. If you have a limited buget then a Beta around 03 04 will be a better bet as they came out in 2000 and the engine is still used today from the 1994 Techno to present bar a few mods.

Some might say a Montesa 315R but i never rated them having had 2 then went onto Betas then GasGas.

Shercos are weak engine wise early models and Scorpas are flimsy on the petrol tanks and engine casings.

Overall i would try and get a 250 as you may end up fighting the bike instead of controlling it. Dont rush in

Thanks for the help, I think I will stick with a 250

also is there any way to tell the age of a Gasser from the frame number?
