November 14, 201015 yr Hey guys ive got a 94 techno and im currently in the process of doing some engine work. I have the header pipe in a hot tank right now for the second time removing 15+ years of carbon build up. What else can i do with the rest of the exhaust system with regards to the expansion chamber and the muffler? How do i go about repacking the muffler? what else can i hot tank?
November 21, 201015 yr Gday, middle box and muffler cant go in the hot tank (aluminium). You can cold tank clean them as long as the fluid is compatible with aluminium, or use the "burn" method (lots of info in the forums here). The Muffler is repackable. You will be glad you cleaned them out, it helps a lot. Cheers, Stork
