exhaust

Featured Replies

hi all i got a problem with my boys gas gas 70 rookie 2003 model i got oil spitting out of the exhaust onto the back wheel and brake what causes this and how do i stop it thanks

Sounds like a fairly minor problem.

If the bike gets used at low gears/revs much of the time, the 2t oil is not being burned off and has over time saturated the silencer packing. Once it is wet with oil it will never dry out and the only place for the excess oil to go is out the end. From here it drips down onto the brakes. etc

Try repacking the silencer.

Mix Ratio?

I'd run in the range of 50-60:1, full-synthetic premix oil.

The smaller engines run a little hotter and can develop localized

hot spots.
