Tyre rubbing on exhaust

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I've got a 2010 125cc gas gas and my tyre is rubbing on the inside of the exhaust by the looks of things. this happened to my dad's montesa and he managed to get a hole in his exhaust. anyone else had this problem?

Dave

Hi Dave,

Yeh it happens on my Beta, mind you, i am not a light chap, so the shock goes down a long way, i packed the mounting bracket out with some rubber spacers. That sorted it.

cheers,

tom,

Very common problem,

Most likely you've banged it in a fall and it has bent inwards. They are quite soft around the middle section so just by kicking the end of the silencer away from the tyre it will reposition it to where it was when new.
