Stiffening rear shock

Featured Replies

Just got my 2006 250cc Beta Rev 3 and was having a bit of a closer look around it yesterday. As I am quite a big lad the rear sinks down quite a bit when I stand on the bike. Is there a way of stiffening it up or extending the shock somehow so that I can try make sure it doesnt keep rubbing the exhaust on the tyre etc?

hi mate

i have a 2007 rev 3 and mine does the same, it could need stiffening up or it could be set ok as you should have a little sag when you put all your weight on the rear, its possible that the exhaust has had a bang and has pushed the exhaust into the bike thus bending either the exhaust bracket or more than likley the air box brackets that run along the air box that has bent in thus bringing the exhaust closer to the bike and tyre. As i crash a fair bit this happens to me regular some times i use a washer or two or i bend the air box bracket back straight. Now i have wrote this i am wondering if the o7 is the same as the 06 never mind hope this helps
