It looks like he was intending to go for a flying lap and went down the refuelling lane instead! That's somewhere around 130 mph! A big chunk of luck for all concerned. He said he got blinded by the sun and when he could see again he thought the end of the barrier was a bike to took evasive action! Lucky boy!
