Check the post Beta Drowned

Not such the quick fix after all

The bike took a dunking last week (2008 rev 3 200)

It died after about ten mins of the soaking

I'd thought I'd fixed it (with a hair dryer & wd40) :rotfl:

It appears not so

Theres No Spark.......................................

How do I check the coil and the stator?

I'm no mechanic but I can do the rudiments

But when it comes to electricial

Cheers in anticipation :D

Have you tried disconnecting the kill switch, its possibly full of water if it hasnt been dried out. That could stop it from sparking.

As in just pull it apart

If yes! I've done that and scooshed it with WD

I think its the black and white cable from the switch, just unplug the connector and it should stop it from earthing out. Its the first place I would try before the coils or cdi.

Ok did that!

I'm now getting a spark :bouncy:

But it aint bursting into life yet (nearly once)when I hit the side of the carb with a spanner

So I drained out all the fuel (Tank & Carb)

Replaced with new

But still no joy

I'll strip the carb in the morning & see what happens

Thanks
