August 16, 201115 yr HI all, I have had my engine out for some work etc on my rev3 05 which has taken some time, on putting my carb back I noticed there is a fitting for a small pipe/hose on the underside of the float bowl, but I can't for the life of me remember what was on there,or where it goes to. Any ideas please, cheers, Tony.
August 17, 201115 yr The little pipe on the bottom of the float bowl is the overflow pipe for the float bowl. The two pipes on either side of the carb body are the atmospheric vents for the float bowl. I don't remember there being any tubing on the overflow. If there was though it would have just been routed down behind the case.
August 17, 201115 yr The pipe attached to the bottom of the float bowl on my Mikuni VM22 carb is attached to the float bowl drain outlet. It directs the fuel away from the carb when the drain screw is undone. Bruce.
