Evo-play in linkage

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, I hace a 2011 evo, 3 rides old. Noticed tonight when on the work stand that there is some play in the linkage if the rear wheel is gently lifted. Is this normal?

I'm planning on stripping the linkage down this week and re-greasing.

Hugh

My 09 has play. Greasing all pivot bearings is a good idea. Mine had very little grease applied from the factory.

There is allways some slack in a linkage, even off new.

You are still well advised to insure the bearings are overpacked with good greast and everything is tight with the nuts and bolts(entire bike).
