Just installed a new kickstart quadrant on my 09 300 pro. The shaft is in place with the spring loaded. When I push the kick start down the quadrant engages with the idler gear and turns it, however on the return the quadrant and the idler gear do not dis-engage. Any suggestions?

I`ve done it before. I cannot remember the details but your assembly is backwards I believe. Sorry I can`t give you the specifics.
