Just bought this rim and on taking the tyre off I found the below. Is it scrap or useable?

Sorry to say its more than likely that its scrap.

Get a wire wheel on a drill & start cleaning around the valve hole.

If you get to solid metal straight away you should be ok to use it.

You may find its all oxide with 0.5mm of solid ally holding it together.

Mine was like this, i hit it with a hammer & it collapsed.

Imagine that happening just as you do a nice drop off.

Also, what are the offsets for the rear wheel aaaand I'm looking at a Talon hub. Are the disc or drum?

best thing to do is buy a tubeless rim from central wheels
