Hi all...this is probably a real dumb question...and if I tried hard enough, I'd probably work it out myself...BUT...with my luck I'd probably break it!!...so can anyone tell me, how do I remove the silver plastic bit in the picture..so I can clean underneath, and re-seat the black plastic/cable holder bit.

HI STU, unscrew you filler cap and remove, then use a small pick or screw- driver and remove the rubber 'o' ring around the filler neck and then lift off the plastic cover replace in reverse

The rubber boot never stayed in place on my 02 and 04 Beta's but it's fine on the 05 bike! Don't know why though - maybe a dab of silicone would help Stu

Thanks both...yep the rubber boot thing stayed put on my 02 Beta..but on this 03 one, its never stayed put...but now I know how to lift the plastic bit..(thanks landrover!) I can try to sort it out.

you can poke it down using a small flat screwdriver if you can't be bothered to take it off.
