Gas Gas Randonne 2013

Featured Replies

Does anybody have any news as to what the 2013 Randonne specification will be. Will it just be an update of the current 125 or will have a bigger engine and 6 speeds? The 2012MY non EU unit seen on the Japanese market does have some differences, seat, exhaust, sump guard and fork/fork angle. Be grate if Gas Gas revised the specification and used the same engine unit as used in the Rieju MRT 200 Pro Comp which presumably comes from the same Millarelli/Yamaha source.

I think the Rieju 200 engine is watercooled and based on the latest WR/YZF 125 motor. I would be surprised if there was any major change to the current engine. I'm not even sure the randonne motor is the same as the yam engine which is in the scorpa sourced from brazil. I think most of the Yam YBR clones (maybe randonne also) are Zhongdu (spelling??)

I did see somebody on ebay recently selling 150 big bore kits.

Thanks for the info Andy, looking to buy a Randonne but would like the bike to have a bigger engine with a bit more grunt.

They say size isn't everything...

Try one which has been sorted (exhaust, gearing etc) you may be surprised...?

Ordered bike and exhaust this morning. Be grateful if anybody has any tips on what gearing I require and any other tuning mods, such as removing the engine breather etc.
