August 17, 201214 yr hello guys can anybody tell me is the cam ajuster on the chain side come off? its a 210 gas gas pro 250 only reason i ask is ive had the wheel off because it as a flat. and noticed it was stuck on is it welled on or dose it come off? i was thinking of changing them for some s3 ones.
August 17, 201214 yr It will come off, it's just a tight fit. I set my vice jaws so the spindle would just pass through the gap and with the nut on the end of the spindle tapped the spindle down through the snail cam using a soft mallet.

August 19, 201214 yr I was more concerned that lowbrow may be talking about a spindle on an earlier model and your about to damage your spindle ? ask GGUK if S3's fit. A pattern spindle is available from Trial and Enduro Direct but I have never had a problem with the original GG item. Edited August 19, 201214 yr by baldilocks
August 19, 201214 yr Author hi mate thanks for bringing that up i dont wanner be bashing the hell out of the cam if its not ment to come off. theres nothing wrong with the ones one there at the moment. i just wanted to bling it up abit if you get my drift.
August 20, 201214 yr They come off the newer bikes. from at least 95 on. newest bikes have a piece that fits into the cams themselves that makes them different size holes than say 2008 or OLDER... In my 2010 & 2011 raga's, the hole in the cams are bigger. FYI, I had an older set of aftermarket cams from jitsie I kept when sold the bike (it was a 2006). I had to drill hole in cam a little bigger to put on a 2011 Raga... Im sure when you order you specify year of Gas Gas if I were you, Im sure they make both styles still. aftermarket ones are bigger adjustmen ranges (snail/cam diameter is much bigger) than stock ones, they are handy when changing to smaller front sprockets, if not you have to hunt for a 1/2 link for these lightweight chains, which isnt easy if you ask me.
