October 18, 201213 yr Hi when the bike starts from cold it revs really high for about 5 seconds then runs normal. It has done it since replacing the throttle cable. Any ideas, thanks!
October 18, 201213 yr my Gas Gas does this. (06' 280) and ive read on here that others have this problem too. when you kick it over and the revs start rising, shake it side to side...it will settle down to idle quicker. trust me
October 19, 201213 yr sounds like the slide is not bottomed in the carb and allowing more air into the engine check the cable at both ends , routing ,
October 25, 201213 yr Author Thanks sorted now. It was the carb, it had turned slightly when we changed the throttle cable.
