Shoei Trials Helmets ?

Featured Replies

I thought shoei had stopped making the tr3?

The mots and hebo and airih are much lighter than the shoei.

the shoei always fitted me the best, but the Airoh and Mots are comfy too, really need to try b4 you buy of course.

Glenn, the new Airoh trials helmet is the lightest most comfortable on the market in my opinion!!

I second that, well, don't know about comfort but they're as light as my Carbon fiber Hebo Zone2,and look cool as hell.

There's a new shoei TR3 for 2013, they are superb Quality helmets, but quite a bit more cash than the others. Mitani have a brand new version in 4 metallic colour schemes, you can get them from Banyerers, although there not in stock yet. They are loads a money, but I wouldn't wear anything else. You can still get white in the UK, I Believe BVM have some and you can also get plain Black from BANYERERS.

Are they the "heavy" ones from before?

Yes, it's the extremely heavy new one, weighs about 100 grams more than the ultra light Airoh TRR Trials Helmet. You pays yer money and enjoys yer choice :0). The Mitani reps are new helmets, same shell, different lining.

100 gms over a long day is alot on your head which is why I have chosen a less comfortable helmet shame they cant get nearer the others.

100 grams, that's only the weight of a small Actimel yoghurt drink, what are you, man or mouse!!! ;-)

old man with an aching neck, 4 ozs in old money can be alot over a day on the moors, actimel or not!
