Hi everyone, i am new to trials riding, and loving every minute of it, but have a question about my Montesa 315R 250cc 2003. When i decelerate i can hear a noise which sounds like lower end knocking, i am told it is because the mixture is too rich.... any ideas please???

try giving Sandiford's (Burnley) a ring, Im sure

they will be able to help you.

I would try running at least 50% high octane race gas mixed with 50% premium pump gas. It should stop the knocking.

The 315

At sea level go to a 35 pilot.

Before you do anything else, strip the silencer box and repack it, I had four, 315s and never a minutes trouble from any of them but they rely heavily on good exhaust packing, it's likely to make a big difference. Try that first, all it needs is roof insulation.
