just wondering wot engine oil every one is running atf any good??????????? and also dya rekon the bike mite rattle very slighty if the oil hadnt been changed for a wile???????? cheers

Yeh alot of people use ATF and dont encounter any problems. As for the rattle, if its coming from the engine and it quite quiet but more predominant at low revs it may be that you have chipped a tooth off your kickstart gear, really easy to do, many dont notice its happened.

You should be able to tell by taking off the clutch casing. Not a very big job. If you have just give your local dealer and order the replacement gear although depending on the damage you may need two.

Its not serious and as long as you get it sorted soonish you shouldn't encounter any more problems. But there is a risk of a fragment getting dragged into the other side of the gear box and that could spell a very expemsive disaster!!
