Repsol Or Not

Featured Replies

looking at a 4rt later this week how can you prove whether its a repsol or not

Not sure about the earlier ones, but the bike should have a limited edition plaque mounted on the O/S near the headstock of the frame. It may have been removed, but the owner should have it. The original bill of sale should describe it as a Repsol Replica and you could also contact Pidcocks with the frame number.

If you look at the price and fall to you knees it a 4rt. If you completely pass out, its a Repsol.....

Sorry - couldnt help myself.

this is interesting.

i didnt know these were different bikes.

whats different about the 4rt and the repsol then?

Last few years the difference has been, Repsol colour, carbon fork covers, carbon fork brace, carbon headlight, carbon clutch cover and carbon header pipe protector and silencer cover.

There's a lot of fakes too

It don't matter, Repsols only have a plaque and some Carbon bits, which you can purchase anyway

Nice bike :icon_salut:

Thanks!

Fakes can be just as nice as the real thing, just not worth as much for some reason.

4rt's are like Mini's, lots of accessories to personalise your bike and make it yours, it'll just cost you an arm and leg ;0).
