January 20, 201313 yr I need some help on the front brake issue I have. Just bought the bike and the brake was not working. Does anyone have a photo/diagram as there seems to be a lot of travel on brake lever. Shoes look ok, This bike had not been rode for 5 years or more. I have ordered new shoes, cable and brake lever and perch. One more question. On checking the frame the number was: 51M1646 so am I right in saying it is a 1976?(Tank has signature of Malcolm Rathmell)
January 23, 201313 yr Author I'm missing the bracket that fits on the fork stanction/mudguard brace. can someone give me an idea where i can get one or dimentions so i can get one made?
January 23, 201313 yr Which bracket? The torque arm which goes from the brake plate to the leg? The cable bracket that holds the cable to the fork leg? James
January 24, 201313 yr I'm pretty sure this question has been covered a number of times on this forum or in the Twinshock forum. If there is nothing turns up in your searches, I will take a photo showing what a standard bike arangement looks like
