February 25, 201313 yr hello stu yes i saw it aswell nice bike shame they didnt carry on making them. im sure some body on hear will know more about it. have you done anything to you 198B yet? do you need a new air box for it? as you know ive just replaced mine. was going to buy anougther for my 199B but ive not checked it yet looks pritty good on the out side ill have to take the seat off to have a closer look.

February 26, 201313 yr I know what you mean yes, but those mock-ups were done 3 to 4 years ago. I think they did use the back end design of his last 340 though and tidied it up a bit. The best thing they did, which is what I always wanted to do but lack the skill, was shorten the tank and move the seat forward. From '75, the Bultaco tanks were always too long.
February 26, 201313 yr Author Thanks gents, I was at a trial recently where Vesty was riding and his new bike is very nice - sounds very crisp! He's moved the top of the shocks forward like this picture but also moved the bottom forwards too (to the hold thats in the swingarm on 198/199B swingarms).
February 26, 201313 yr Hi Dave, just been admiring the bult and the ossa and noticed the ossa`s rear wheel has the sprocket/ brake on the wrong side! Steve.
February 27, 201313 yr Yes, I think he went a bit awry with his photoshop as he reversed the front and rear of the bike - the front brake and torque are was on the wrong side too.
February 27, 201313 yr What a long talk arm? and the rear silencer is pos on the other side, does not look to connect. I bet the top of the shocks would be wide just where you stand on the pegs. My shocks almost rub on the tyre so you could not angle them in. Tank seat combo looks good though. Steve

March 1, 201313 yr Thank you Sparks2, it would appear to be very like his last Comerfords evolved 340 in many ways. looks to have had a lot of metal added in the footrest area as well.

March 1, 201313 yr The tank looks long because the top shock mount and associated frame joint is further forward then standard
