So the reports are saying the ''Rozzers'' stopped and fined the Championship riders £60-00 for not displaying the correct size number plate? Easy target for them I suppose, but another gig at the off road motorcyclist?

Only too glad the Lochaber police at the SSDT are a bit more welcoming?

Blimey. I know websites need advertising to pay the bills, but c'mon....

I saw this via facebook. The club have run the event before without issue and had worked with the police for this years event so certainly were not expecting this approach. I then watched the news about the police forces merging in Scotland and wonder if the change in approach is related? Would it kill us to have quick release legal number plate ? At present we rely on police goodwill for any trial in the uk with roadwork.

Lochaber police are no more. Police Scotland is reportedly heavily Strathclyde influenced. Strathclyde had a history of antagonism towards motorcycle events.
