So. I will take my time to explain as best as i can. Sorry for my english So i bought a husky wr250 2007 ( i think) with no spark. After trying some cdi s i had around i got one working (by working i mean spark) tried to startnthe bike but all it does it pops thru the exhaust, after many days of fiddling around i removed the stator and flywheel case and look like it has an mini 4 hierro motoplat flywheel and stator. Tried retarding the spark but same results, then i had the ideea to take the cilinder head out put the spark plug next to the cilinder and i took a slow mo vid to see if the spark meets the piston at TDC and it does but then sparks one more time at btdc??…

hello, About two weeks ago i purchased a GasGas ec 250 1999 as a first Enduro bike. having come from trials and to a bike with a seat feels very wierd :) the bike has had a new piston (in the words of the seller). the bikes does start but its very temperamental and can take up to 50-60 kicks to start I've had it running twice and now it doesn't at all. I pulled the carb apart and cleaned it hoping it would help and nothings changed. I've fitted new ignition coil and bits here and there (electrical) as it had no existing electrics apart from the cdi unit and there is now a spark. when I kick over the bike I cant tell whether it sounds normal or not having heard 2 stroke tr…

I've been super busy, stacked up with work, sorting the house, taking care of a new puppy. So the old trials bikes are on the back burner for this winter ... instead I've been getting out on my other half's Rieju Tango. It's fab, basically it feels like riding my old DT100 back in the day, just with fuel injection, electric start, etc. They're just basic farm bikes, but agile enough for the tricky trails (though I need to add a skid plate, hand guards, and more aggressive tyres). What I like about it is that there's no faffing around with mixing the fuel, or messing about with the idle because of the weather, etc, just hop on and go. I might get one for…

Well with all of the trials bikes prepped and sorted, the latest project to hit the workshop for covid19 project is a 1977 IT 175! Couple of questions ... 1 - both mudguards are good condition but very faded - what’s the best bet to paint ? And does anyone know the colour code ? 2 - long shot but does anyone have an airbox cover and filter cage ? (Or know where I could get them) 3 - piston and barrel look ok but seems low compression ? Was going to put a set of rings in as it’s not blowing past the rings - I can get nos rings - but will 40+ year old rings be brittle ? Better bet some pattern ones ? mid new pattern ones might as well get piston kit…

Now that I'm getting settled in the new house (by settled, I mean nothing needs urgent attention, lol) there's a bit of time to go exploring, so I went out today to see if there's any good spots to take the TY and push myself a bit ... took this photo while heading home - steeper than it looks, I took the easier lines and clutched a lot in first gear to get up, not pictured is a group of natural stone steps that I stalled on. It'll be interesting to try this on the TY, I suspect it'll be far easier since this bike feels like a barge in comparison!

The on board footage of GJ is well worth a watch. It's an education in itself the course was just so hard.you will be sweating watching it. Emporer Hirohito was kinder to his Kamikazi pilots than the CoC was to those riders. Even ice cool Jarvis had a moment or 2 it must have taken all his patience not to launch into the Husky into the great blue yonder Awsome riding

I have to admit I'm an armchair fan of hard enduro but I can't really take in that Getzen Rodeo. It looks like it's set in a park and appears to be a 3 mile long trials section. There must be all of about 500yards where the bikes get out of bottom gear. The spectator value is awesome and has great crowds But tell me anyone that's been there wouldn't it be miles easier on a trials bike not that it would be any fun to watch.

I just found one of these so cheap I had to take it. Going to pick it up at lunchtime today because I don't want it to get away. Anybody have one? This one's a '97, which is the same model that went to about '04. I'll likely sort it out and give it to my son for Christmas.
