I have a 2001 SY 250 racing and it has the usual knock but quite loud. I have had the top end rebuilt with new piston rings and little end, but it is still the same. On the overrun it is loud. But when the throttle is open, even partly, it is much quieter.

Any ideas on what causes the knock.

I would be very grateful for any help.
