Sherco Clutch

Featured Replies

I have problem i put new mains in sherco put it back together and there is a big wine coming of basket that wasnt there before can any one help

the new main bearings making the whine? did you use a dealer part becasue im sure the standard sherco bearings do, im sure some one will be able to shed the light-ask honda rs, ishy or jtt.

Make sure that you put everything together in the right order, If you have put something in the wrong place, eg. a washer then something could be rubbing, check the back of the clutch basket isnt touching the main drive gear or that the clutch isnt rubbing the clutch cover, etc

cheers folks the noise seems to be maybe coming of the water pump gear but it seems to be mint can it be on wrong

There is a washer that goes on the end of the shaft of the water pump gear. Also what colour is your gearbox oil, if its milky the water pump seals might be leaking

get the pump drive gear the plastic lined up properley on the crank drive gear,. becasue if not it could do what it did on mine the pin from the drive shaft come out and mangle all the drive gears
