Rim Stickers

Featured Replies

Do rim stickers provide any protection to the rims, aminly getting scratched up from rocks?

Or are they just ornamental?

Thanks

The real benefit is the extra weight (there are 3 stickers per side, so 6 per wheel in total) keeps the front wheel of my 4RT on the ground.

Seriously. Cosmetic benefits only as any rock that will scratch a standard rim will probably also puncture and tear a rim sticker; and a torn and flapping sticker looks more untidy than a simple scratch on a rim. Still, they ARE a great way to refresh the look of bike after a couple of years.

Where's Rosey, always has something interesting to say on rim stickers.

Waiting for Rosey (don't tell 'im I bough some black 'uns for my 2013 Gasser. Makes it look much better).

i would think Hello Kitty rim stickers would protect them the best... great idea...until you install a new tire..

hmmm.

Looking at the sides/edges of the new black excel rims I just recently (in trials event time , maybe 8 rides ) laced onto my 240 pro , I'd have to go for the lack of stickers ... they may make it thru a season with me ...

The S3 rim stickers are quite durable and offer abraision resistance. Pain in the a*** to install though....and cover a lot of rim.
