Just had barrel replated - returned with rings off the piston I sent with it.

I notice the a small letter visible on one side of each ring - otherwise I can seen no difference

Is there a right and wrong way up ? it a 2 ring piston supllied by GG UK

Is that a specific rule to GG rings, or all rings ??

I couldn't say that its "industry standard" but its true of every bike that I've worked on (Japanese, Italian, Spanish in multiple bike disciplines).
