July 3, 201313 yr Evening all. My fantic 240 has a over eager clutch in that it doesn't tend disengage always when I want it to. It tends to keep driving when you pull the clutch in, but only for a few seconds. Don't know whether its connected, but does tend to slip fairly easily in the top 2 gears, suppose that's just a typical old bike thing? Any suggestions for the clutch disengage thing? Cheers
July 4, 201313 yr Mine does it too. I was going to try the beta clutch fix as found in another topic here
July 4, 201313 yr Author Sorry I'm being a bit tupp. Have looked but can't see the relevant topic. What is this beta clutch fix? Thanks
July 4, 201313 yr http://www.trialscentral.com/forums/topic/28407-the-beta-clutch-fix/ Worked wonders on my 240,takes lots of time to do properly, you will get tired/bored but soldier on!
July 6, 201313 yr Check the basket as in the Beta Fix , and make sure you've got a Domino lever (it's a geometry thing ) as they are the only ones that work correctly ... And 240's slip a wee bit in 6th from new , not much to do about that . My clutch action improved drastically with Silkolene light gear oil , and got even better when I changed it to Redline ... at the suggestion of another engineer buddy of mine Edited July 6, 201313 yr by axulsuv
