  1. Hey everyone! I've been searching for the perfect Gulf of Mexico themed t shirt to wear on my next coastal run and I'm having a tough time finding quality options. I want something that captures that deep blue water vibe, maybe with a vintage nautical or highway feel to it. Do any of you have recommendations on where to find the best Gulf of Mexico t shirts made for bikers? I'm looking for durable fabric that holds up on long rides, great graphics, and a relaxed fit under a jacket.

I have just brought a fantic tx 250 125 trials bike for resto , but i need a little advice . I note the forks have fantic motor on them cast into the slider ?. I see some seem to have marzocchi forks fitted ?. The frame looks to be silver , but i thought they were red ? . The yokes have fantic motor stamped on them? , any idea,s to the age ?. The rear shocks in the picture are they correct? look forward to finding out any information thanks Kevin from London.

  3. Hi All, As a new member to the site I am hoping someone can help me with a dilemma. I’m presently restoring a 240 pro and have just started stripping the motor down to find that the spur gear on the back of the clutch is badly worn. I understand it is a common problem on this engine, but does anyone have any solutions? It seems that the clutch basket is unobtainable? It would be a real shame that I have to stop the restoration here because of this issue, unless anyone out there has a good clutch basket they are willing to sell. Comments and suggestions welcome. Ian

Hello everyone, I am selling mine and my dad's classic Fantic 125 trials bikes and I am after some advice. We took part in some classic trials a few years ago now just for a bit of fun and they have been stored in my garage unused for the past three years. They were both running when they went into storage but not now, probably due to the old fuel in the tanks. One is very original (full original exhaust) and the other is in better condition (semi-restored by my dad, new footpegs, steering lock cut off and a few other bits). Not sure on the year for either bike. I've looked under the frame and can see the stamps but can't make out a year on either bike. My dad se…

Hi has anyone got a rubber seat for a Fantic 301 1986 please??

  6. Started by pomster,

So by chance I’ve been looking at trick exhausts 😔 I knew I’d start wanting one. The Grib and the JP. Yeah I know the 200 doesn’t really need one but there’s plenty of things in life we don’t need. They look bloody nice on the bike and theirs the weight saving to consider too Anyhow what’s your thoughts on these two or any other not mentioned Do they do what they say on the can or is it just bling and weight saving?

Hi What are the differences between a 1982 Fantic 125 and a 240. Is the frame etc the same with just the capacity increase ? thank you

  8. The flywheel was jammed on my 241 engine after shearing the woodruff key. I finally got it off and split the cases to see what was required for a full rebuild. Unfortunately, after 20 years in storage, there has been water ingress. This is only on the magneto side and the Crank is badly pitted on the bearing shoulder and where the oil seal fits. It would be a shame not to be able to save another 241 from the heap. Has anyone got anything to help or ideas?

  9. Hi, so my fantic 300 1984 has been shearing woodruff keys not that often but a couple of times?? I used to have a 200 that did it a few times over a few years. Is this just a fantic thing of is there something else going on?? Thanks

  10. Hi All Replacing crank seals and bearings in a 240 because it smokes excessively from exhaust and had less oil in the gearbox on draining it after 4 trials. My question is which way round should the left hand inner crank seal go in? The one in the bike was fitted spring / open / concave face towards the middle of the engine also on the picture attached (from an old italian magazine test) although not a good image looks like it may be in this way too. But exploded diagrams of the engine show the seal flat side with numbers on it facing inward towards the middle of engine / crank chamber. The reason I ask is that I have completed rebui…

Hi again guys thanks lemur for ur reply Iv replaced the full gasket kit which I got for £11 from eBay genuine Dellorto seals Im a little confused about the adjustment screws on the 305 both are on the left hand side of the bike 1 in the centre which iv looked and is the tick over that’s tapered at the end and hits the bottom of the slide to adjust its height all fine so far now here’s where my carb seems to differ from all pics I can find on the net and books manuals ect they all seem to have another screw I’m assuming a fuel screw to the left of the idle one close to the inlet side of the carb but mines is on the right hand side of the idle and closer to the air filter w…

I was looking for a replacement fuel cap for my 1980 Fantic 200 and came across a French website that is making them for every model except the 200. Are the fuel caps the same for the 125, 200 and 250 or is the 200 the outlier?

I am new to this site and to trials bikes. I just acquired a Fantic trials bike that sat outside (neglected) for almost 20 years. It actually had a bunch of bushes and a small tree that had grown up and around it. From my limited research I believe that I have an early 80's Fantic 240 professional. Can anyone help me confirm? I am also looking for a good website that has bike specification and maybe some parts so that I can rebuild it properly. Model - FM450 Frame # - 0002264 Surprisingly, it shifts and has compression. Thank you in advance.

Can anyone advise. Im after as much information as possible on the bike I am restoring. I know it is a Fantic 200 FM350 but any additional info would be welcome. The chassis number is DGM 19461 OM also Fantic 350 stamped along side the chassis number, engine number 0001620 and the date stamp under the tank is 1979-9 What I would like to find out if possible are all the numbers matching and its date of manufacture. I bought the bike as a non runner with a box of bits. Thanks in advance

I am looking to buy new plastic for my dirtbike (fantic xx125) and thought buying it directly from an authorized dealer was way too expensive (330€) Does anyone know a brand or anything that makes plastic for the fantic mx bikes? thanks a lot.

Hi all, I bought a Fantic 241 last weekend at Telford. It was sold as having the main bearings seized, which is indeed the case as it's had water in it and been stood. I have dropped the engine ready to strip it down. It also has a broken ring that has scored the piston, although the bore doesn't look too bad. Are pistons & rings available ? Can anyone point me at an engine parts diagram, and maybe a list of seals and bearings. Finally, this bike currently has a white frame (yellow underneath) and forks, I think it should be red. Is if possible to date the bike from the frame or engine number to get the paintwork right ? Thanks in advance, …

I was poking around and came across hebo's website and they now show a hydralic clutch conversion kit for older bikes .... I was just wondering if anyone has ever used one on a 240 pro , and if it makes that big of differance when my clutch arm is already lengthened 1/2 an inch or so . ( the bikes , not my left one !) Hi there, finally after a year of searching I got myself a 200 and can put my TLR200 to rest. I am really impressed by that wee Fantic! What a nice handling bike and the power picking up sooo smooth... you know what I mean! Only a couple a things I probably want to fix: -Clutch needs a lot of finger-force: cable is mooving freely.. anything else to have the clutch actuation less "blistering" (to my finger, that is..) - Clutch slip in 5th/6th gear... No noticeable slip in lower gears... what oil do you recommend? Cheers!
