Gas Gas Txt 50 Boy Ignition Problem

Featured Replies

I stripped my sons bike to replace a broken gear selector shaft. Prior to disassembly the engine ran fine. After rebuilding i cant get a spark at the plug. I tested the plug on another bike and its ok so it must be the ignition system. Does anybody have any idea what might be wrong. Does anybody have a copy of a wiring diagram for the 2005 model so i can check that i have fitted all the correct wires together.

thanks for any help.

yeah, tried that but still no luck. Is ther only one earth terminal?

thanks

If it was running ok before the repair it will almost certainly be something that you have done, go through wiring again again.

Try http://www.uk-motopl...om/contact.html

I know it says motoplat but he knows a fair bit about gasgas boys as well.

Can you post a photo of your stator.

Boys had a history of poor igntions and there are a number of variants fitted.

If it is the same as the earler selettra stators a poor earth is likely but also is a poor contact between the stator coil windings and the wires that come off them. some have a very poor design of wire joint and just moving it off and back onto the bike could have caused it to fail.
