August 3, 201313 yr Hi guys. I am after a pair of British Hubs to get a new project mobile. The sort I am after are the same as fitted to various Greeves models. With the brake on the RH side on the rear. They are pressed steel Can anyone point me in the right direction This style
August 4, 201313 yr Hi The picture is of the original production Greeves trials bike. As far as I know the hubs were made by the British Hub Company specifically for Greeves. I do not know of any other fitment. The Bantam / Tiger Cub type (of which there are plenty around) look similar but are cast of course.
August 4, 201313 yr Author Those hubs were fitted to many pre war bikes. In fact its wasn't til i started going to our Taverners trials that I noticed that the hubs and brakes were identical to the ones originally fitted to my pre war Panther. In fact this 1938 illustration shows the exact same hubs Including the exact same front brake lever here is a 1940's Levis So if anyone knows of a greeves supplier who may have some then I would like to know. August 4, 201313 yr Hi there, you could try an ad on the 'pre-65' scrambles forum, which is read by lots of the guys who do the Greeves one-make series, or try Terry Sewell, Hobbit MX or Villiers Services. good luck
