October 20, 201312 yr Hi, does anyone know what the Primary Drive ratio is for a TXT? I have an '01 321. Tried a search, but couldn't turn up anything. Thanks, Jeff
October 20, 201312 yr Stock should be 11 front 41 which is 3.72/1 rear, optional normally 10 front most popular,it would be 4.10/1 Edited October 21, 201312 yr by bilks
October 20, 201312 yr Take the primary drive cover off and count the teeth on the clutch and crank pinion At a guess it will be be around the 5 or 6 to 1 mark with the actual teeth numbers being prime Edited October 20, 201312 yr by dadof2

October 23, 201312 yr what would you possibly be needing this information for? I have ridden all these years, never wanted to know the "drive ratio", ever, lol.
October 24, 201312 yr Author what would you possibly be needing this information for? I have ridden all these years, never wanted to know the "drive ratio", ever, lol. Great question! I have a Husaberg FX 450 with a close ratio transmission, and 1st gear is just too high for some of the riding I do. So I've been comparing final drive ratios with my other bikes, after running them all through the same trail/course. I thought I'd try to see what it would take to get the FX 1st to compare to 2nd or 3rd in the TXT...so I'm having fun with a spreadsheet and learning a lot about gearing!
