November 28, 201312 yr Hi. I have a 95 Techno with Paioli USD forks. Just replacing my fork seal on the right fork leg and noticed a damping adjuster underneath the leg by the axle clamp, I always thought they only had the top ( rebound ) adjuster on the right fork leg. Is this normal????
November 28, 201312 yr Author Definetly an adjuster, It has a blue anodised allen headed bolt with a brass flat head screw within it, the screw turns with noticeable clicks as you turn it. Edited November 28, 201312 yr by rgvlc
November 29, 201312 yr It doesn't sound familiar to me. Maybe you've got some factory prototype forks?
November 30, 201312 yr Huh, mine just has a little drain screw So yours has no damping adjuster on top?
November 30, 201312 yr Author Some photos First one is the underside of the right leg showing the adjuster bottom of right leg showing drain screw top of right fork leg top of left fork leg this is preload adjustment Edited November 30, 201312 yr by rgvlc
January 18, 201412 yr Author It would be nice if they were, although the rest of the bike seems very stock.
January 18, 201412 yr Since they were going with "right side up" forks the next year any prototype USD forks would likely just get bolted to a production machine once the decision was made on the '96. My guess is you got one of those, "Hey, Mario, wadda ya want to do with these prototypes?" "Bolt them to a bike. We've got no other use for 'em."

Or is it more like "Hey Luigi, where the hell did my cool factory race forks go?, they were here on the bench with all the standard forks a minute ago"
