Beta Rev 3 Discs Loose

Featured Replies

Hi All

As a total beginner to Trails I have got myself a second hand Rev 3 2001

I have noticed that there is a bit of play on both the front and rear discs, they move around 2 mm side to side where they are bolted to the wheels

Is this normal, all the bolts are done up tight but they still have a bit of play ?

Cheers for the advice

Rgds

Tony

Yes it normal ! They are known as floating discs ! Quite a few bikes have this arrangement , if the " clatter " bothers you some people put a bit of silicon around the spacers that the disc is mounted on. ! This still allows the discs move around but stops the noise.
