Some of you may have noticed the announcement on the front page. I see the ACU want a "junior" version of the S3 Series for riders up to 23. Personally I think we have more than enough Nationals. Aside from the already congested fixture list that forces many clubs to run Trials on the same dates as other clubs in order to fit around National and Centre Trials where do they think these riders are coming from? Those who can already compete in the BTC or S3. The rest can afford to run in their local events or prefer the multi lap format Stop or No-Stop. Then of course there is the problem of finding land to run a 2 lap 20 section trial. Hard enough when you include road work it will become pretty crowded without as only a few clubs could find a suitable venue.

Why not just put this class in the s3 rounds on the 50/50 route...as a precursor to riding the championship route. Prize for the champ but the top 5 should move up each year to encourage development and prevent pot hunting. Should have a similar class for over 23s but that's another story

I think you now have to be 19 before you can ride more than a 125 on the road. Not sure why its under 23 but if you are 17/18 and dont want to ride s3 on a 125 then you could ride this.BTC is probably too hard for a lot of people.
