Cota 311 Gear Oil

Hi, I recently got back into trials and bought a 1997 registered Cota 311.

After a quick clean of the carbs she fired up and is great fun.

I noticed that the clutch was 'dragging' a little so I changed the gear box oil.

On draining it, I saw that it was AFT fluid and I have filled it up with the same.

All is working well, I just wondered if it is usual to use ATF instead of PJ1 or other 75W oil?

EDIT: just read a few other posts - should have done that before posting!
