This shaft and its surrounding parts looks the same as other models, its the left hand change version from about 1974.

But if you look up other models, like the 200 and the 349 and even the Scorpion from a simlar era, they appear to be the same.

Are they interchangeable?

OK, to answer my own question.

Well yes and no, the shaft itself is different lengths for different models, the Scorpion has a short shaft the 349 is about 20mm longer and the 247 in the middle. All the surrounding mechanism parts for the gear change are the same, just the shaft length is different.
