Hi again, Just as an add on to my post yday re waterproofing my Evo, I have noticed an increased in fuel usage during the past few rides out ( which has mirrored the water ingress ) Could this be due to the water getting to the carb and possibly clogging the choke mech or dirt in jets etc. Once again I ask for your input guys.

Ps. i have located a local Aquatic centre that stocks Reticulated form so hopefully that will help water getting into the air box.

Have you seem the clear plastic covers that fit over the top of the airbox / under the mudguard on the Evo. Steve Saunders at SXS sells them. There's a pic on his website. Had them on a couple of my Evo's and they work a treat at keeping water and muck out of the top of the filter. Think they are about £12. Easy enough to make one if you done want to spend anything.
