May 23, 201412 yr Morning guys Im one of those riders that walks through all water sections looking/feeling for unseen obstacles, while the smarter guys watch and keep their boots dry. How do you guys dry your boots out? I hang my boots up outside but it takes close on a week to dry out completely. Any blower devices you guys have built that I could look at (pics) or other tips? May 23, 201412 yr Stuff them with newspaper overnight. The paper absorbs most of the moisture, remove it in the morning and repeat . In 36 hours the boots will be dry and because you are not using any heat to dry them, the leather remains supple.

May 23, 201412 yr I'm another one for stuffing with scrunched up news paper. Done it this way for years, it works!
May 23, 201412 yr In the rainy Pacific Northwest, the best option for dry boots is a Peet Boot Dryer. This system drys even completely soaked boots overnight without heat so no consequential harm to leather. Check them out: http://www.peetdryer.com/

Thanks guys. Made my own boot dryer with an old PC compture fan, some plywood and PVC pipe...cheap and works great
September 14, 201411 yr +1 for Peet. Highly recommended. I've been using mine for years with great results. Absolutely no problems with leather.
