A little help please. The beta manual indicates 20mm gap between tensioner and swing arm. Is this with the bike on the floor or with shock fully extended with the bike on a work stand?

I've just bought a new AFAM front sprocket but it doesn't fit the splines although it's suppose to be for a 2008 and the part number on it is correct for a 2008 beta. I've only just got the bike and it looks like a 2008 but I could have been conned! Anyone else had any problems with sprockets not being correct?
