Anyone know how many points Ray had sunday?

Someone please tell the story of the "80"!!!!!

And a thanks to Pat's dad for hauling away that ugly red bike parked next to the Sherco garbage can all weekend. LOL

Yes, Ray rode the expert class on Stephanie Commo's Beta 80. .. He looked like he was having a lot of fun. You could hear him wringing the guts out of that thing through the sections from a half mile away. He looked good on it! Then again, Ray looks great riding just about anything, he's amazing. The expert lines looked really challenging for an 80. His 7th place result was due to the lack of power available to conquer the biggest obstacles, but he went for it because he wrapped up 1st place for the expert class for the season, so he could have tried it on a scooter or a harley and the results wouldn't change a thing.

Vermont was a great event btw, thanks to all the organizers and the green mountain plonkers for a spectacular event!

:wall: Not only did he ride an beta 80 , but a box stock 80 at that :With a 12 point loop on his last loop , shows how good the 80 truly is .. he said the biggest problem was he kept flicking out of bounds cause it was to light.. We here at BETA USA are very proud of Ray and his accomplishments this year .. ! To take nothing away from Pat he rode really well on Sunday and would have been tough to beat on that day!

Thanks to all who came to our event!

Ron

Thank you Ron for "80cc" story. That must be a first, huh? In the USA at least.

Another rider that impressed the heck out of me is Louise Forsley. She just gets better and better and better. Her learning curve is really accelerating out of sight. Its fun wondering "how good can she get?"

Jesse, don't take offence about the "ugly red bike ". You know those Sherco guys can be very jealous of other bikes that aren't blue.

Any Vermont pictures posted on the web yet?

;) I would like to thank everyone for their compliments and to all those who came to the Green Mountain Plonkers Vermont National. As most of you know it is not easy organizing an event especially a National. I don't know what kind of membership and support other clubs around the country have but with only 14 adult members in our club we had our hands full. Though the club membership was able to do all of the physical labor cutting loop trail and sections we did not have enough bodies to check sections. We had to rely heavily on volunteer checkers from the associated member clubs that make up the New England Trials Association. The bulk of those individuals drove 3, 4 and 5 hours to get to our event to do nothing but check. To those individuals and their families we all owe a great deal of thanks and appreciation. There only motivation for checking is simply the love of the sport.
