October 13, 201411 yr Hey guys. I just picked up a 2015 txt racing from my local distributor (in Australia). After trying to instal a s3 flywheel weight, Iv noticed that it is not only just the magneto cover that has been redesigned. The flywheel has changed and will no longer fit the s3 kit. The mounting holes no longer line up. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Unfortunately the local distributor has gone away for a holiday and cannot be contacted.
October 13, 201411 yr S3 do two types of flywheel weight one for kokusan systems and one for Hidria. 13 and 14 models had Hidria, does the 15 ?
October 13, 201411 yr Just out of curiosity, why buy a lively lighweight bike then stick a weight on it? Have you considered a smaller bore carb or slow / variable rate throttle?
October 14, 201411 yr Author Hey guys thanks for the help. It appears that the new 15 racing has the kokusan ignition. So I will have to order a new flywheel weight. On paper it seems silly to add 600 grams of weight to a light weight trials bike. But the benefits are undeniable. Over here in oz it's very rare to see a top rider without one on. We have very dry, dusty and slippery conditions. Mods such as slower action throttles and low compression inserts are popular over here among the older riders. Thanks guys.
