Scott Trial - Spectating Advice

Featured Replies

We're heading out to watch the Scott on Saturday. Any advice on the best place to watch with two young children (1 & 3!) - Good parking, short walk, no really steep banks for watching. Oh, and nice sunny weather!

How about Surrender in the morning, but get there early for good (if there is good parking on Scott day!) parking and a shortish walk to the section. Probably watch all the riders here before they disappear onto the grouse moor.

Then skip Bypass and head to Bridge End (on the road to Barnard Castle - turn right at the CB) - this section is right next to the road (it worked well for me last year with 3 kids under 5!!)

This should leave plenty of time in which to park and very easy with kids in tow (equally you could go to Whaw Bridge after Surrender but I don't think the parking is as good)

Its impossible to 'chase' the trial and see everything - much better to pick out 2 or 3 sections and stick to your plan

Hope the above helps and enjoy the day (sunny weather in Yorkshire!?!)
