October 16, 201411 yr I keep looking on RMC's website, but no route map is listed for this year's Trial as yet Can any RMC official tell me if they are listing the map, or do I have to nip up tomorrow to pick up a programme (was going to buy one on Sat anyway) Help?
October 16, 201411 yr I assume the map is in the programme, not seen one. Route is Surrender in the morning & probably little different to other years when it runs that way, so an old one will be near enough until Saturday morning.
October 17, 201411 yr http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2639510 So the weather forcast for Saturday is good. The going is currently good to soft but likely to deteriorate to heavy after overnight rain. Good luck to all riders and have a great day. I know there has been some whinging about the centenary programme but that won't detract from a fantastic trial which is a credit to the richmond club and all who help make it possible.
October 17, 201411 yr I'd call the going to be hard, there's been little rain all summer / autumn & whilst there's been rain the last few days it's all run off quickly. There was a decent amount of water running in Ray Ghyll (Richies Revenge) this morning but it had dropped again this afternoon, what has happened is the becks have gone very green with the recent rain & will be slippery.
October 17, 201411 yr Met Office are saying heavy rain overnight, but mainly dry tomorrow. They're usually pretty much spot on once it gets to the day before.
October 17, 201411 yr Author All sorted A very nice man gave me some pointers last night and I've been up this afternoon, bought a programme from Reeth garage (fantastic momento and well done RMC) All section timings worked out and i had a ride round the roads to suss out where I'm going to watch tomorrow Bring it on, can't wait Good luck to all the competitors
