Hello all, I've got a problem with my front wheel rim it's starting to split at one side of the weld joint I'm trying to figure out the best plan of attack so thought I'd drop a line on here to see if anybody can offer advice or point me in the right direction.

I've tried to call allens spares but no answer to source a second hand wheel, I've seen a new one from Beta £245 or is there anywhere that can repair/weld it possibly locally I'm in Cramlington, Northumberland.

I've also thought about waiting until a wheel comes up on eBay.

Any advice appreciated.

I used an Akront rim that had been welded for many years, only changed it when the disc was well worn and a second hand one came along at the right price.
