February 9, 201511 yr Hi all! Is anyone with a 2014 evo have any problems with water allways in bottomn of air box? And as anyone found a better way to route fuel pipe from tap to stop it kinking?
February 9, 201511 yr Hi Rick, There are some tips here on preparing a Beta for the SSDT https://trialsguru.files.wordpress.com/2014/03/ssdt-help-sheet-2014-evo.pdf that have some waterproofing tips, I have not seen a 2014 Evo fuel hose but could the problem be that the hose is too long? would cutting the hose to make it shorter get rid of the kink. February 9, 201511 yr Author Problem with fuel hose is that it goes forward between cyl head and lower side of frame through cyl support bracket then loops back on its self down to carb! It seems to kink here and its pretty near cyl! looking at 2015 parts diagram and that seems to have a different tap!
February 9, 201511 yr Yes, after many years of having leaky fuel taps it seems for 2015 Beta have decided to try something different. The reason the taps leak is slightly rough finish on the metal tap parts. It prevents the seals / O rings sealing. Polish off the roughness and the taps work OK. I have not looked at a 2014 air box but pretty well all previous Betas need extra sealing work to minimise water ingress into air box. Edited February 9, 201511 yr by dadof2
